Cookies and how we use them.

1. Overview

This Cookie Policy explains how Tyche Consulting, LLC ("Tyche," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on tycheconsulting.com (the "Site"). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

The short version: the Site works without cookies. We use one optional analytics tool, Google Analytics, and it only runs if you click Accept all in our cookie banner. Choosing Necessary only keeps it off.

2. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage, which lets a site save a small piece of information in your browser without sending it to a server. In this policy, "cookies" covers both.

3. Cookies We Use

Strictly necessary

We do not set any strictly necessary cookies. To remember your cookie choice, we save one entry in your browser's local storage:

• tyche_cookie_consent (local storage, set by Tyche): records whether you accepted or rejected analytics, so we don't ask on every page. It stays until you clear your browser data. It is never sent to us or to anyone else.

Analytics (optional, only with your consent)

If you accept analytics, Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google LLC) sets these first-party cookies to measure how visitors use the Site, such as which pages are viewed and how visitors arrive:

• _ga: distinguishes one visitor from another. Expires after 2 years.
• _ga_<property-id>: keeps track of the current visit. Expires after 2 years.

We use this information in aggregate only and do not use it for advertising. Google's own use of this data is described in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Advertising and social media

We do not use advertising, retargeting, or social media tracking cookies.

4. Other Third-Party Services

Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests a font, Google receives your IP address and browser details as part of that request. Google Fonts does not set cookies. Our hosting and content-delivery provider, Amazon Web Services, keeps standard server logs as described in our Privacy Policy and does not set cookies on the Site.

5. Your Choices

• Change your choice at any time: open cookie settings, or use the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of any page. If you withdraw consent, we stop Google Analytics and delete its cookies from your browser.
• Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a rejection of analytics cookies and do not show the banner.
• Browser settings: most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking cookies will not stop the Site from working.
• Google's opt-out: you can also install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

6. Changes to This Policy

If we add or change the cookies we use, we will update this page and its "Last updated" date. If we add a new optional category, we will ask for your consent again.
